On April 28, 2019 Mariangela Sicilia will return to the Teatro Comunale Bologna to sing Violetta in La traviata, conducted by Renato Palumbo and directed by Andrea Bernard. There will be three further performances, on May 3, 5, and 8, 2019. She will be joined onstage by Francesco Castoro (Alfredo) and Simone Del Savio (Germont) among others.

As Violetta, Ms. Sicilia most recently appeared at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. She comes to the Teatro Communale Bologna after performances as Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo Ed Euridice at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Palau de les Artes.
